FISHERIES ACTION PLAN
This Action Plan aims to provide a set of actions to be undertaken to effectively reduce the generation of plastic waste and pollution in Menorca. This Action Plan focuses on the fisheries sector, so the implementing bodies will be: individual fishermen, fishing companies, aquaculture companies, port authorities and public administration.
The Menorca Without Plastic Alliance will support – as a local entity dedicated to tackling the problem of plastic pollution – this action plan and will try to involve and seek the commitment of the main public and private agents related to fishing on the island.
The Action Plan for the fishing sector of Menorca sets the following objectives and defines the actions to be carried out to achieve them:
- Reduce plastic leakage by 30% in the fisheries sector by 2030.
