The Plastic Observatory aims to collect, analyse, and interpret data on the characteristics, evolution, and current situation of plastic waste management on the island. Through this work, the goal is to generate useful knowledge to better understand how plastics are produced, consumed, and managed in Menorca.

The Observatory places special focus on identifying trends, critical points, and opportunities for improvement throughout the plastic’s life cycle, from its generation to its final treatment. This approach helps guide public policies, citizen actions, and sectoral strategies towards a more sustainable model aligned with the objectives of plastic material reduction and circularity.
