New collaboration between Plastic Free Menorca and MarSave for more sustainable beaches

This summer has marked the beginning of a very special collaboration between Plastic Free Menorca and MarSave, two entities that share the same objective: protect the coastline and promote more sustainable beaches.

A joint work for marine and coastal conservation

MarSave will collaborate altruistically in the awareness-raising activities and actions promoted by the Plastic-free Menorca Alliance, depending on the needs and possibilities of both entities. Among them, its participation in the Plastic Free Menorca Day, which will take place in September 2025, stands out, with the installation of information tables on the beach of Punta Prima, within the project Plastic Free Beach.

In addition, MarSave's team of lifeguards will incorporate the surveillance of the Beach Product Reuse Points within its action protocols, reinforcing the commitment to the prevention of plastic waste on the Menorcan coast. Thanks to this collaboration, MarSave will inform the designated person within Menorca Preservation about any action necessary for the improvement or management of these points.

Training and good environmental practices

Through the Menorca Plastic-Free Alliance, Menorca Preservation will offer specific training to the MarSave lifeguard team in good environmental practices and sustainable management in the marine and coastal environment.

Promoting environmental awareness

MarSave is committed to promoting, as far as possible, the environmental awareness within its scope of action, avoiding those actions that may conflict with the conservation of the natural environment.

Communication and Continuous Cooperation

Both entities will disseminate this collaboration through their communication channels and share relevant information on initiatives linked to the environmental conservation of Menorca, thus strengthening joint work for a cleaner and more sustainable territory.
