Promoting actions from Menorca towards a more plastic-free society

At the Plastic Free Menorca Alliance, we address the issue of plastics from various perspectives. Our initiatives share a common goal: to reduce the use of plastics —especially single-use plastics— and the pollution they generate, creating a conscious and committed community.

We are committed to a culture based on reduction and reuse, with concrete actions such as the installation of filtered water fountains and beach item reuse points.

Education and access to data-based information are key pillars for increasing collective knowledge and encouraging active community participation.

At the same time, we promote recycling and circular economy projects that transform waste into new resources —such as Pescart Menorca and PlasticLab—, demonstrating that it is possible to close the loop and create value even from materials with low recycling potential.
