PescArt, project for the reuse of fishing nets by artisans from Menorca
From February 24 to March 24 you can visit the exhibition "PescArt Menorca", which shows the work done in the pilot test of reuse of fishing nets by artisans in the Centro Artesanal de Menorca promoted by the Plastic Free Menorca Alliance under the direction of Menorca Preservation. This reuse initiative has been carried out within the framework of the Plastic Waste Free Islands Project promoted by the International Union for Nature Conservation (IUCN) with the financial support of the Didier and Martine Primat Foundation.
"PescArt Menorca" is the name that has been put to the pilot test of circular economy to reuse fishing nets and that has had the participation of fishermen, artisans of Menorca, the Plastic Free Menorca Alliance, the Foundation for the People with Disabilities of Menorca and Menorca Preservation.
The exhibition has been designed by Silvia Vivó and can be visited on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 09.30h to 14.30h at the Centre Artesanal de Menorca.
